RigidChips is a rigid body physics simulator, it was developed in Japan as a small project. It has gathered a large following in Japan, and is starting to be known by English speaking countries.

Key Points[]

A rigid model simulator that allows users to create various vehicles/contraptions that be used on water, land or air.

The basic building blocks of the program are called 'chips'. Using these chips which have a fixed size and shape you can create various vehicles or contraptions.

You can also choose the environment where the contraptions can be used. They are called "Lands".

Use arrow keys for controlling the contraption and 'A', 'S', 'D', 'Z', 'X' and 'C', such as accelerator and brake.
'R' is reset-key and 'U' is position reset-key
'Y' is upper force, 'I' and 'O' are zoom in / zoom out

Note that the RigitChips MigitShips program doesn't actually allow you to create the the contraptions. You need a 3rd party tool like the RigidChips modeler and Viewer (Below) to create the contraptions. The contraptions are stored as text file formatted for Lua scripting.

Important note: The program is no longer being developed and has been succeeded by Laputan Blueprints, also available from the original developers website. Laputan Blueprints is a significant improvement over RC and contains a built in editor and the ability to create your own building blocks.
